Boston Red Sox top prospect Payton Tolle jumped on Cassell's Corner Podcast to talk about pitching, his mom, his mustache, monkeys and much more.
Boston Red Sox top prospect Payton Tolle recently joined T&G sports reporter Tommy Cassell on “Cassell’s Corner” podcast. The two talked about Tolle’s rise through the Red Sox farm system last year, which concluded with his first call up to the big leagues, and his start with Triple-A Worcester this season . A 6-foot-6 left-handed pitcher with a penchant for a good quote, Tolle also touched on the passing of his mother before he was drafted by the Red Sox, how he started growing his infamous mustache and why he keeps quoting bananas and monkeys when he talks to the press.
Oh, and Tolle, who recently got engaged, discusses how he popped the big question to his now fiancée. Here’s where you can listen to the podcast and watch it, too . — Contact Tommy Cassell at tcassell@telegram.
