SOFTBALL Millersport 9, Madison Christian 3: Senior Kendyl Bonkowski, who recently recorded her 500 th career strikeout, pitched a four-hitter and finished with 19 strikeouts to help lead the Lakers to a nonconference win. Chloe Hardy had three hits and two RBIs to lead the way for Millersport. Bonkowski and Ava Blevins had two hits each, and Claire Haney had two RBIs.
Bloom-Carroll 5, Chillicothe 1 Lancaster 14, Pickerington Central 5 BASEBALL Fairfield Union 10, Logan Elm 2: The Falcons won their 10 th consecutive game by cruising past the Braves in Mid-State League-Buckeye Division action. The Falcons improved to 10-2 overall and 7-0 in the MSL. Codie Andrews went 3-for-3, with three RBIs and three runs, Dylan Chilcote had two hits and two RBIs, and Ashton Waldrop and Brody Andrews finished with two hits each.
Joe Blankenship started and picked up the win, pitching five innings, giving up two runs on five hits, and striking out two. Cameron Silcott pitched the final two innings and did not allow a hit. Berne Union sweeps DH: The Rockets (9-3) defeated Granville Christian Academy 7-1 and 2-1 in a doubleheader.
