Mike Perry: 'I feel like Nate Diaz is old'
The trash talk between Mike Perry and Nate Diaz leading up to their May 16 showdown on the Netflix and Most Valuable Promotion's Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano fight card has been tame. Both have been respectful but Perry recently let loose a few comments that weren't exactly complimentary.
"I feel like he's old," Perry said during a media scrum. "I feel like he has some great talents that we've all looked up to. He's very durable and he's very smart in the fact that he wouldn't even face-off close with me.
That tells me, it makes me wonder about how we're going to fight, you know. Is he going to be walking away? I mean, obviously, we've seen that.
Is he going to get in the fire with me? " "I think maybe he also knows he's in trouble, getting older. He's had a long road in this game, as have I," Perry continued.
"With my youngness and, you know, I'm a lot years younger than him and my strength, my power and aggressive style, you know, to bring that to him. He knows I'm coming at him. Diaz turned 41 on April 16.
