JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — ETSU men’s basketball has added size and experience to its roster with the addition of Wake Forest transfer Marqus Marion. The 6-foot-9 forward spent the last three seasons with Wake Forest under head coach Steve Forbes, appearing in 41 games for the Demon Deacons across 3 seasons.

Marion averaged 1. 5 points and 2. 3 rebounds during his time on the court at Wake Forest, providing depth in the frontcourt.

The Denmark native redshirted during the 2024-25 season and will have two years of eligibility remaining. Coming out of high school, Marion was regarded as the top player in Denmark and ranked among the top 50 forwards in the 2023 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. He now joins an ETSU program looking to build on its recent success in Southern Conference play.
