Lakers fans were convinced that Luka Dončić was snubbed as a MVP finalist
Luka Dončić isn't a NBA MVP finalist and Lakers fans think he was snubbed.
It's award season in the NBA and those looking for a Luka Dončić MVP campaign are no doubt disappointed. On Sunday, the NBA announced the three finalists for league MVP for the 2025-26 season. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will have a chance to go back-to-back, as the Oklahoma City Thunder guard got the nod alongside Nikola Jokić and Victor Wembanyama.
Unfortunately, with only three spots for MVP finalists, players like Dončić and Jaylen Brown were left off of the board in a hotly-contested race. As a result, Los Angeles Lakers fans were quite frustrated that Dončić won't be celebrated for his accolades this season, which include leading the NBA in scoring for the season. After the news dropped that Dončić was off the NBA MVP finalists list, Lakers fans took to social media convinced of the star's snub from the award.
