Matt Fitzpatrick angers golf fans on his way to RBC Heritage victory as they call for punishment
Matt Fitzpatrick defeated Scottie Scheffler in a sudden-death playoff at the RBC Heritage on Sunday. Fitzpatrick got the better of Scheffler when he made a superb birdie on the first playoff hole, after hitting a truly stunning four-iron into eight feet on the 18th.

The 32-year-old Englishman has played some spectacular golf at Harbour Town Golf Links this week and he was fully deserving of his victory.

However, the Englishman managed to drown out the noise and get the job done in the end.
That said, golf fans were not happy at all about one thing they witnessed from Fitzpatrick during the final round at Harbour Town Golf Links. However, his conduct towards the end of the final round was certainly not, according to some golf fans.
Many fans reacted angrily to Fitzpatrick taking so long to hit his layup on the 15th hole. โ Took Matt Fitzpatrick two hours to hit a layup with a 9 iron. Letโs give him a two-stroke penalty for that.
