Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 started with a bang thanks to a highly anticipated match between former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and former two-time NXT Champion Oba Femi. In a stunning moment to begin the show, Femi was able to get a clean pin on Lesnar to secure the win in his WrestleMania debut. After the match, Lesnar had an emotional moment in the ring as he announced his retirement from pro wrestling.

Leading up to WrestleMania, there had been speculation that it would be Lesnar’s final match. He returned from 2012 to 2020, before a brief retirement. He then returned once again in 2021. Lesnar is the only person to have won the primary heavyweight championships in WWE, the UFC, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, the Inoki Genome Federational, and NCAA wrestling.
