His progression since returning has been rapid, as he's flown up the ranking in the last year or so, making major progress in the 12 months. He's claimed six Players Championship event titles, a European Tour event title, and has made numerous deep runs at tournaments since 2024, becoming one of the most consistent performers on the Pro Tour. However, he hasn't been able to translate his Pro Tour success to the main stage, with little to show at majors amid some incredible stretches of play on the Pro Tour.

Another Pro Tour title was in sight for him, but he was still able to come away with £10,000 in prize money.
That was enough to move Nijman up two spots on the Main OoM rankings, and he's now ranked #16 in the world. This is the first time in the Dutchman's career that he's in the top-16, and he'll only feel the benefits from that moving forward. Even though Nijman was already positioned at the top of the Pro Tour OoM, which meant he'd be in the majors later this year that give spots to players ranked high on that OoM, being in the top-16 has its perks.
