Vote here for a Shreveport Times Week 33 non-football AOW candidate
Athletes from schols like Airline, Parkway, Magnet, Benton, Northwood, Byrd, Shreve, BTW and Magnet included on ballot.
Voting is now open online for The Shreveport Times High School Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Raising Cane’s, the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission and Cosse and Silmon Orthodontics, which includes student-athletes in Louisiana high school sports other than football from 15 northwest Louisiana schools. Fans of those students, their schools or their particular sport can vote at shreveporttimes. com under “sports” for their favorite.
Voting will continue through Friday night with the winner announced Sunday. Weekly winners will receive a backpack, a boxed lunch combo and some additional swag courtesy of Raising Cane’s and Cosse and Silmon, along with a short feature story on their accomplishments, courtesy of The Times. Previously we announced a football, volleyball and cheerleader preseason fan’s choice athlete of the year.
Those include Caddo Magnet’s Violet Collier as Preseason Volleyball Player of the Year, Plain Dealing’s Jeremy Fisher as Preseason Football Player of the Year and Captain Shreve’s Zaria Hall as Cheerleader of the Year. On the Week 33 ballot for the 2025-26 school year are Jada Wofgang, Caddo Magnet softball; Maddy Shortridge, Airline softball; Aubrey Stoehr, Ruston softball; Macee Thompson, Parkway softball; Marianna Roberts, Logansport softball; Brody Turnipseed, Benton baseball; Sam Ricord, Northwood baseball; Rowan Arnold, Byrd baseball; Kingston Adams, Loyola baseball; Seth Jorstad, Haughton baseball; Trace Ogle, North DeSoto baseball; Brexton Lopez, Captain Shreve baseball; Trammel Howard-Choice, BTW track; Anderson Phillips, Providence track and Harmony Easter, North Caddo track.
