Charles Barkley poked fun at Pete Hegseth quoting 'Pulp Fiction' in a prayer

Yahoo Sports

Last week, U. S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had himself an embarrassing moment when he delivered a fake bible verse during a Pentagon service.

And even Charles Barkley is getting in on the jokes now. During last week's worship, Hegseth recited a fake prayer from Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction . The "Ezekiel 25:17" moment was so obvious as it was happening that even people in the audience could be seen smirking and holding back laughter.

Fast forward to Sunday's Inside the NBA , and Kenny Smith made a reference to attending church. And you know Barkley had that joke ready to go. He took an obvious dig at Hegseth's blunder.

Barkley said: "Hey, we're not going to listen to the pope anymore. We're going to listen to Sam Jackson and Pulp Fiction . " Well played, Chuck.
