Ohio State men's lacrosse beats Michigan, clinches share of Big Ten
The Ohio State men's lacrosse team used a dramatic, come-from-behind last second victory over Michigan to grab a share of the Big Ten title.
The Ohio State men's lacrosse team is the Big Ten champion for the second year in a row, even if it did have to share the title with three other teams. To make it even better, the Buckeyes did it by beating Michigan in a last-second goal to win 9-8 and keep the Wolverines from having a chance to share the conference title. There aren't many conference games in Big Ten lacrosse, so even finishing with a 3-2 record was enough to be co-champions with Maryland, Johns Hopkins, and Penn State .
With four teams tied atop the standings, tiebreaking procedures had to be utilized for the upcoming Big Ten Tournament, and that means OSU will be the No. 4 seed, with Johns Hopkins earning the No. 1 seed, Penn State grabbing the No.
2 seed, and Maryland the No. 3 seed. Ohio State is the defending Big Ten Tournament champs, so it'll be looking to repeat and have a shot to get into the NCAA Tournament as well.
We'll have all the coverage of the upcoming conference tournament that begins on April 25, when OSU will have a rematch with Michigan in Piscataway, New Jersey, on the campus of Rutgers University. Introducing your 2026 B1G regular season champs ๐ pic. twitter.
