At the helm of the German national team, Nagelsmann had his watchful eye on several German starters on the pitch. Impressed with Vincent Kompany’s work at Bayern, Nagelsmann appreciated the Belgian.

Following the Bayern Stuttgart game Nagelsmann praised Vincent Kompany (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ). “Congratulations to FC Bayern. Vincent Kompany has impressively succeeded in forming a team that not only won the title convincingly, but also spectacularly with an outstanding team performance,” said the German manager appreciating the record breaking 109 goal scoring run so far.

The FIFA World Cup is less than two months away and Nagelsmann still has work left to do in terms of finalizing his squad for the biggest tournament in the game. Bayern and Stuttgart contain some key players for Germany. With Nags yet to pick his final mix, this game was a vital watch for the 38-year-old.

“I’m especially happy for my national team players, of course, because we have big plans together this summer. The winning mentality and the self-confidence they bring to the pitch at Bayern in every game are absolutely impressive. I hope they will replicate that this summer at the World Cup,” he said, as he hopes to carry over the winning momentum of a strong Bayern core into the World Cup.
