The Oregon Ducks and Illinois Fighting Illini play the rubber game of a three-game set as the teams split the first two games of the series.

It's been one of those series where if you get out of Dodge winning two of three, you count your blessings and go home. It hasn't been a fun time for the pitchers, as there have been 52 runs scored between the two teams in the two games. The Ducks were able to take Game 1 of the set by the score of 16-6 in seven innings , and then in Game 2, Illinois smacked a three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to take a 16-13 victory .

Unless that wind settles down for the last game in Champaign, there's nothing to suggest those runs won't keep coming. Oregon's Miles Gosztola is scheduled to take the mound for the Ducks and he'll be countered with the Illini's Aiden Finn. Despite the defeat on Saturday, the Ducks are looking to keep the momentum going as they get ready to come home for a three-game series with Penn State next weekend at PK Park.

Oregon has seen a good sign, wind or no wind, with the offense, especially Maddox Molony. The shortstop seems to have found his bat once again after struggling for most of the season. He is 4-for-9 in the series with six runs driven in and two home runs.
