But before Saturday night, he had never done one thing in the postseason: he had never played with his son Bronny.
That changed when the father-son duo took the court in the L. A. Lakers’ 107-98 victory over the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of their Western Conference playoff series.
“I mean, I was on the floor with my son, like in a playoff game,” the 41-year-old NBA legend told reporters after putting up 19 points, 13 assists, 8 rebounds and 2 steals in 38 minutes. “That’s probably the craziest thing that’s ever happened to me in my career. ” Bronny played 4 minutes in the second quarter and had no stats other than one turnover.
