Nebraska baseball (30-9, 14-3) faced off against No. 12 USC (30-10, 13-7) on Saturday afternoon for the second game of the series. The Huskers carried their momentum from Friday's win into Saturday, blowing out the Trojans 12-2 in seven to clinch the series.
Nebraska scored four runs in the bottom of the first, setting the tone early. By the end of the sixth, the Huskers built a 10-0 lead. Though USC scored two runs in the top of the seventh, Nebraska ended the game by adding a pair of its own.
The Huskers finished the day with 12 hits and one error, while USC earned five hits and two errors. Nebraska also struck three home runs, all in the third inning with Drew Grego , Dylan Carey and Case Sanderson each delivering a solo shot. Grego batted 3-for-4 for four RBIs and was a triple shy of a cycle.
Carey also finished 3-for-4 and earned one RBI. Sanderson picked up three RBIs after going 2-for-4 on the day. Jett Buck , Joshua Overbeek and Trey Fikes all tallied one hit and one RBI for the Huskers.
