Georgia football trying to flip 4-star Texas commit
The Georgia Bulldogs are the latest elite college football program to try to pry four-star defensive back Karnell James away from Texas
The Georgia Bulldogs have made move for four-star Texas Longhorns commitment Karnell "Greedy" James. The four-star defensive back recruit is a member of the class of 2027 and has been committed to Texas since Dec. 2025.
Georgia offered James a scholarship on April 15. The 6-foot, 175-pound defensive back is one of Texas' eight commitments in the class of 2027 . The Longhorns have the nation's No.
12 recruiting class. James is Texas' only defensive back commitment. James plays high school football for Manvell High School in Manvell, Texas.
The four-star is ranked as the No. 26 safety recruit in the country and the No. 43 prospect in Texas, per 247Sports.
