Marketa Vondrousova , the 2023 Wimbledon champion, made news this week as she is under investigation for allegedly denying entry of a person into her house to conduct a doping test. Vondrousova has been diagnosed with anxiety disorders along with her well publicized injuries. She also described the fear of not knowing who the person was, claiming that person did not identify himself properly.

Vondrousova cited her Czech compatriot Petra Kvitova’s tragedy of being the victim of a break in and stabbing that nearly ended her career. No matter where fans sit on the Vondrousova debate; was she correct in handling the situation as she did? (It is hard to say without walking in her shoes).
