Cardiff and Swansea set for Welsh Cup final showdown
Swansea City have not beaten Cardiff City in any competition since 2024 [FAW] South Wales rivals Cardiff City and Swansea City meet in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup final at Newport's Rodney Parade on Sunday (17:00 BST). Cardiff have won the last four finals including, the last two of which were against Wrexham. But they go into Sunday's final having been beaten to the Genero Adran Premier title by Wrexham.
They also lost to Wrexham in the Adran Trophy final in February and will be determined to ensure they do not finish the season empty handed. Noah Bushby takes charge of Cardiff for the first time since succeeding Ian Derbyshire as manager earlier this month. Swansea have not featured in the final since 2018, when they beat Cardiff City, and are seeking their first trophy since winning the Adran Premier title in 2022.
