After Golden State's 2025-26 NBA season came to a close, head coach Steve Kerr revealed a timeline for the decision on his future with the team.

After the Warriors were defeated by the Phoenix Suns Friday, ending their playoff hopes, all eyes turned to Steve Kerr. Golden State's head coach is now a free agent after four NBA titles and 604 regular season wins. Following Friday's matchup, Kerr spoke to the media about his upcoming decision-making process, highlighting a timeline for an ultimate verdict to be made.

According to NBA insider Tim Reynolds, Kerr will take "a week or two" and then meet with Golden State's ownership. Kerr went on to say that he and the team: "will come to a collaborative decision on what's next. " Kerr's decision may also affect 14-year veteran Draymond Green who has a player option for the 2026-27 season.
