Former Arizona standout Helena Pueyo named 3rd team All-EuroLeague, DPOY finalist
One of the most selfless players to ever wear the uniform continues to make her mark

Other people like her game, too.
Pueyo has been named to the All-EuroLeauge third team and is a EuoLeague Defensive Player of the Year finalist. EuroLeague is the top level of European professional basketball, comprised of the top teams from the best leagues across the continent. Many of the players in the league also play in the WNBA.
That’s obvious when looking at the graphic for the EuroLeague third team. All five players, including Pueyo, have been drafted by WNBA teams. Three of the five have played in the WNBA regular season with only Pueyo and Juste Jocyte still awaiting their debuts in the league.
View this post on Instagram Pueyo was drafted by the Connecticut Sun in 2024 draft. They waived her in training camp. Last year, the Phoenix Mercury offered her a training camp contract, but Casademont Zaragoza in Liga Femenina de Baloncesto had advanced into the EuroLeague playoffs.
