With shirt sales going through the roof, this might’ve given Bayern an idea.
What is that idea, you may ask? Well, they struck gold with a Colombian, so they thought why not sign another one. Philipp Kessler from tz (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia ) reports that Bayern is pursuing Colombian talent Samuel Martínez, a 17-year-old attacking midfielder from Atlético Nacional.
There has already been contact between the club’s scouting department and the player’s representatives. The Bavarians are apparently facing stiff competition from other European clubs. This looks like a promising move.
It of course isn’t expected that Martínez would slide right in with the senior team; the presence of Jamal Musiala, Lennart Karl, and Serge Gnabry would make that a bit difficult to achieve. The Rekordmeister also has other attacking midfielders at their disposal, so trying to fit another up-and-coming talent won’t be as easy as they think.
