Illinois baseball walks off Oregon for ranked home win
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Illinois baseball earned its second ranked win of the season with a 16-13 walk-off home run by Kyle Schupmann in the bottom of the ninth to win 16-13 on Saturday, April 18. This was a roller coaster of a game, as Illinois and Oregon were tied 4-4 after five innings, then Illinois went up 12-6 after scoring eight runs in the seventh inning.
Oregon responded by scoring seven runs in the top of the eighth to retake the lead, but this game was tied going to the 9th, which is where Schupmann delivered the game-winner.
