North Rockland's Claudel Chery broke the Red Raider Relays boys invitational mile record. Hen Hud's 5-8 high jumper Perry Quaye cleared 6-7.

THIELLS — Four hot dogs. Not the breakfast of champions, but, with apologies to dieticians everywhere, perhaps the night-before-race dinner of champions Claudel Chery might have to have that conversation with his future collegiate coach. Whoever that is.

The North Rockland senior is so far telling no one where he's heading. But Saturday, during the second and final day of the 38th annual Red Raider Relays at North Rockland High School, there was no doubt where he was heading. To a win in the boys invitational mile.
