Tonight, during the battle between Pennsylvania hockey teams, Pittsburgh Penguins fans let the other side of the state know they aren't big fans of the City of Brotherly Love. A "(Bleep) you Philly" chant was audible on ESPN Saturday during the Penguins game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
The chant broke out midway through the third period, where the Penguins and Flyers were tied at one. The two teams have met seven times in the playoffs before, and every year the two Keystone State squads have quite the rivalry. Jamie Drysdale scored the Flyers goal.
The Penguins' talley came from Evgeni Malkin. The Penguins and Flyers began a seven game series Saturday, so expect more clever chants in Game 2, and Flyers fans response when it comes back to Philly.
