Michigan State lands commitment from Jackson State WR transfer
A late add to the wide receiver room, Michigan State has added the commitment of Jackson State WR Jameel Gardner.
Michigan State football has made a splash in the transfer portal today, earning a commitment during their spring showcase on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans gained the commitment of Jameel Gardner , a Jackson State wide receiver transfer. A Detroit (MI) native, formerly of Cass Tech, started his career with Kent State before transferring to the Tigers.
At Kent State, Gardner hauled in 24 receptions for 298 yards and a touchdown. With the Tigers this past season, he corralled 32 passes for 483 yards and two touchdowns, following a 12 reception, 145 yard season in his first with Jackson State. He is a 6-foot, 185 pounder that projects to play as an outside receiver.
He will provide veteran depth to the Spartans wide receiver room in 2026.
