Key tight end target commits to Auburn over Alabama, Florida

The Auburn Tigers have landed a commitment from four-star tight end Georgia Lamons Jr. , who committed Saturday during his visit for A-Day. It is a major win for Alex Golesh and the rest of Auburn 's coaching staff, who beat out the Alabama Crimson Tide , Florida Gators , and Florida State Seminoles for the 6-foot-4, 213-pounder.

Lamons was previously committed to the Texas A&M Aggies, but reopened his recruitment last year, and the Tigers were able to win the second battle for the Quitman, Georgia, product. He has been a frequent visitor on the Plains this year, with Saturday being his third trip already. He is set to return on June 12 for his official visit.
