Liverpool defender confirms future intentions after disappointing season Liverpool seem to be gearing up for a massive overhaul of their first-team squad this summer. Things haven't gone to plan for Arne Slot and his men since the first five games of the Premier League campaign and, now that we're getting to the latter end of the season, the groundwork for changes is finally being put in place. The rumour mill is going into overdrive and, if Liverpool don't manage to fix their problems before the start of next season, they could end up even worse off than they currently find themselves.

And, by the Reds' standards, that would be miles off the pace so, it's not hard to understand why many different transfer options are already being explored by Richard Hughes and Slot. However, before any moves are even made, Liverpool will have to sell some of their first-team squad to raise enough funds. But, for one player, exiting Anfield isn't on the agenda.

Jeremie Frimpong confirms that he wants to stay at Liverpool next season Jeremie Frimpong is one of the many players that Liverpool signed in the summer to bolster their ranks. The Dutchman was expected to come in and be the Reds' replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold. And, while he may have had a similar level of creativity with Bayer Leverkusen, those numbers haven't replicated themselves with Liverpool.

Whether that's because of the number of injury issues he's faced or the fact that he hasn't had a regular role in Slot's XI remains to be seen. But, despite this lack of form, the Dutchman has now confirmed that he'll be playing for Liverpool next year rather than moving on. "Of course [I want to stay]," he said to The Telegraph .
