Wildcreek's renovated par-3 golf course opens Thursday, with its championship course on track for mid-to-late summer.

RENO, Nevada — The renovated par-3 golf course at Wildcreek is set to open Thursday, and its Championship nine-hole course is on track for just a few months from now. First Tee Nevada owns Wildcreek and has been revamping the par-3 course for the past year. The course now has concrete cart paths.

Some holes were shortened, such as No. 6, and some were lengthened or made more difficult. Opening the ppar 3 course is part of First Tee’s first phase of reconstruction, which includes a new driving range and a new 9-hole Championship Course, which is expected to open in mid-to-late summer.

The entire golf center renovation is budgeted at $16 million, with a portion supported by the County's land sale to the Washoe County School District for the construction of the new Procter R.
