Bulega stepped in for the injured Marc Marquez during the last two rounds of the 2025 season. Since then, he’s been pushing harder to move from Ducati’s WSBK squad over to Grand Prix racing.
At first glance, a spot with one of Ducati’s satellite teams looks like the obvious next step if he makes the transition. But Gresini have already said they’re not interested in taking on a rookie next year. Bulega’s representative has hinted that a departure from Ducati isn’t out of the question.
The rider echoed those remarks during his latest comments about making the switch. The Italian told journalists, via Motorsport Italia: “Right now, on the MotoGP front, we have to wait for the bigger names to settle in because everything depends on them.
The dream of MotoGP has been with me since I was little, and we’re working hard to make it happen. “I’m certainly happy to be here in Superbike, but dreams are dreams. Together with Alberto Martinelli, we’re working hard to try to make it to MotoGP.
