Drew Brees looks good in gold. The legendary New Orleans Saints had an emotional reaction to seeing his Pro Football Hall of Fame jacket.
Drew Brees visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio on Friday for a bit of orientation to prepare the Class of 2026 for enshrinement later this summer. The legendary New Orleans Saints quarterback was greeted by a round of applause alongside his peers in this year's class -- Larry Fitzgerald, Luke Kuechly, Adam Vinatieri, and Roger Craig -- before touring the museum and Tom Benson Stadium. But one of the most emotional moments came when Brees was presented with the Hall of Fame's signature gold jacket.
"Wow," Brees said in a low voice. His words strained as he inspected the gold jacket's lining. "That's my name.
" It sure looked like Brees got a little teary while unpacking his very own gold jacket, featuring the Pro Football Hall of Fame's shield on its chest ("It's shinier than I expected," Brees added). Brees took a long road to get here, filled with highs like a win in Super Bowl XLIV and a host of NFL passing records as well as low moments like a career-threatening injury and some painful playoff losses. But it was all worth it.
