Clemson baseball has a chance to leave Charlottesville with a statement Saturday afternoon, as the Tigers face No. 9/12 Virginia in the deciding game of their weekend series. After splitting the first two matchups, this finale gives Clemson an opportunity to steady itself in ACC play and carry some energy into the next stretch of the season.

Friday’s result showed what this group can look like when things click. The Tigers put together a balanced performance, getting timely swings throughout the lineup while leaning on a composed effort from starting pitcher Michael Sharman. The left-hander kept Virginia from ever finding a rhythm, limiting damage and working efficiently deep into the game.
