Michigan football spring game live updates: Start time, TV channel, parking
The Kyle Whittingham era will make its soft debut in Ann Arbor for the Maize vs Blue scrimmage. Follow along for live updates throughout:
The Kyle Whittingham era is soft launching today in Ann Arbor. Michigan football has been working this spring since March 17 and after 14 practices behind the scenes, practice No. 15 will come in the form of the annual Maize vs.
Blue scrimmage on Saturday, April 18 (2 p. m. , Big Ten Network) at Michigan Stadium.
It's not going to be a full cast of characters for the Wolverines (Whittingham said earlier in the month he anticipated somewhere between 12-18 key players will not play), but it still provides a chance to get a look at the schemes on both sides of the ball and gives the 2s and 3s on the depth chart a chance to pop in a game-like setting. Bryce Underwood, Michigan's quarterback and the player most fans will be looking forward to seeing, is expected to suit up for a short period on Saturday. Every spring game is a little bit different, with the each individual staff trying to get different things out of that year's group.
