British duo Lauren Stockley and Charlie Searle qualify for the World Hyrox Championships
British duo Lauren Stockley and Charlie Searle have qualified for June's Hyrox World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden. The pair sealed their spot by finishing second in women's pairs event at the final Hyrox major of the 2025-26 season in Warsaw, Poland. It marked redemption for the team who thought they had qualified four weeks prior at the 2026 EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa) event in London.
They were, however, given a belated 60 second penalty when they were deemed to have cut the corner exiting the sled pull section. The pair had no such issue this time with a 52 minutes, 58 seconds finish to earn their place at this summer's World Championships. Stockley says she was "really happy with the performance.
" "We knew we had it in us to execute this race," she told BBC Sport Wales. The PE teacher paid tribute to their teamwork. "We have a great partnership and we'll go above and beyond for each other.
"All eyes on Stockholm now, we're ready for the World Championships. " American pair Lauren Weeks and Vivian Tafuto set a new world record of 52:11 as they took the win in the Polish capital. What is Hyrox?
