2025 NFL re-draft: Did Patriots keep or move on from OT Will Campbell?
If the Patriots could do the 2025 NFL Draft all over again, should they choose Will Campbell or someone else?
Who would the New England Patriots select if they had the entire 2025 NFL Draft to do all over again? Would they still pick Will Campbell at offensive tackle, or would the team go in an entirely different direction? The Athletic's Nick Baumgardner put together a 2025 NFL re-draft, where he had the Patriots sticking with the former LSU standout offensive lineman.
"Campbell’s Super Bowl performance drew a lot of criticism — and that’s fine," Baumgardner wrote, via NESN's Daniel Fisher . "But let’s remember Campbell was a big part of New England’s resurgence in the first place, and he’s absolutely the type of player who will learn and improve from that setback. " Campbell was a key reason for the Patriots' offensive turnaround in the 2025 season.
He was a reliable left tackle who showed plenty of room for growth. Granted, things took a downward spiral after he suffered an MCL injury late in the season. He came back in time for the playoffs, but he clearly wasn't the same player who started the season.
Campbell received a lot of criticism for his play, particularly in Super Bowl LX. The good news is that he now has an entire year of NFL experience under his belt. He will work hard to get stronger in the offseason and make a significant leap in Year 2.
