Nebraska softball (34-6, 15-1) commenced its three-game conference series at Minnesota (14-28, 6-10) on Friday afternoon. The Huskers took game one, shutting out the Golden Gophers 4-0 to match their best record through 40 games since 2002. Nebraska scored in the first two innings and the last two innings, all the while holding Minnesota scoreless.
The Huskers outhit the Golden Gophers 7-6. Minnesota held two scoring opportunities, but Nebraska survived both to preserve the shutout. Jordy Frahm (12-4) pitched the shutout, throwing a complete game and firing six strikeouts.
She also drove in an RBI single in the batter's box. She extended her hit streak to 10 and on-base streak to 29 as well. Hannah Coor set the tone, delivering a solo home run on the team's second at-bat.
She finished 2-for-4 on the day. Lauren Camenzind and Hannah Camenzind each pitched a hit and RBI, with H. Camenzind earning a triple.
