The Panthers seem to be really doing their homework on the 2026 draft's tight end class.

The Carolina Panthers may be angling for a tight end during the 2026 NFL Draft. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Panthers are among the teams that have " met extensively " with Ohio State University tight end Max Klare since the scouting combine. Along with Carolina, Wilson notes that the Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have shown a decent amount of interest in the 22-year-old pass catcher as well.

Over his last two seasons with the Buckeyes, Klare recorded 94 catches for 1,133 yards and six touchdowns in 26 games. He was named a third-team All-Big Ten member in 2024 and a first-team All-Big Ten member in 2025. In addition to Klare, the Panthers have also been linked to other tight ends from this year's classโ€”including Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq and Georgia's Oscar Delp .
