According to journalist Miguel Angel Diaz speaking on COPE , Asencio has been admitted for medical evaluation to determine the exact virus behind his condition.
The defender has reportedly lost six kilos in just two weeks, which is a significant drop that has raised alarm within the club. What happened to Asencio? His absence was first noticed ahead of the crucial UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern Munich, when he was unexpectedly left out of the travelling squad.
At the time, speculation emerged suggesting a possible disagreement with manager Alvaro Arbeloa, but that theory has now been firmly dismissed. Instead, the reality is far more concerning, as Asencio had been experiencing dizziness and physical discomfort in the hours leading up to the trip, prompting medical staff to intervene.
