Dolphins GM showed a different level of interest in WR prospect

The Dolphins have met with some wide receivers ahead of the 2026 NFL draft, but on Friday, general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan took it to another level.

The Miami Dolphins have two picks in the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, after trading wide receiver Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos earlier this offseason. And, with one of those picks, Miami has considered finding Waddle's replacement. Throughout the pre-draft process, the Dolphins have met with several wide receiver prospects, but on Friday, general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan took his interest in one wideout to another level, personally attending Jordyn Tyson's individual workout.

Tyson, 21, was a three-star recruit out of Allen High School in Allen, Texas, before splitting his college career between Colorado and Arizona State, where he earned All-Big 12 honors twice. In 33 games over four seasons, Tyson caught 158 passes for 2,282 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also returned some punts and kicks in his lone season at Colorado.

At this point in the pre-draft process, experts project that a team will take Tyson somewhere in the top half of the first round. After trading Waddle and releasing both Tyreek Hill and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, the Dolphins are lacking talent at wide receiver. Tyson would immediately be their top wideout on the depth chart, which would allow Tutu Atwell and Jalen Tolbert to slide into much more manageable roles.
