Sean Payton gave Broncos players oxygen tanks before playoff game
Pat Surtain said Sean Payton gave Broncos players oxygen tanks before a playoff game last season. This is why.
To win in the NFL, sometimes you have to think unconventionally. To win in the playoffs, though, you're going to have to be very unconventional. If you ask Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton, there's nothing he won't do to set his team up for success.
Speaking on former New England Patriots star Julian Edelman’s “Games with Names” podcast , Pat Surtain told Edelman how intense Payton is at halftime. Surtain spoke that Payton’s message to the team is always to keep the momentum going, and that in games that he deems “Bat Games,” Payton wants his teams to be mentally and physically tougher than the other team. Then, Surtain threw a curveball: Payton gave out oxygen tanks before a playoff game.
Why? Because he felt his Broncos would need oxygen for all four quarters to win. But don’t just take my word for it.
Check out the entire clip below. Although brief, Surtain provided enough entertainment for a sub-60 second clip. Sean Payton really gave all the Broncos Oxygen Tanks 🤯 pic.
