A new report from Mundo Deportivo states that Barcelona want to bring in three new players AND keep hold of Joao Cancelo on a permanent basis .

Cancelo is on loan from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal but has made a positive impact in his second stint at the club. Barca hope an agreement can be reached for Cancelo to move on a free transfer, although quite what Al-Hilal think of that idea remains to be seen. Along with Cancelo, Barcelona also want a striker, a defender and a left winger.

Julian Alvarez remains the dream up front, while Alessandro Bastoni is the first choice when it comes to center-backs. There are also a few names on Barca’s wishlist for the wide position. Marcus Rashford remain an option, while Ez Abde, Jan Virgili, Víctor Muñoz and Andreas Schjelderup have all been mentioned.

Financial issues will once affect Barca’s transfer plans, although the club are hoping to be back at the 1:1 rule by the time the window rolls around again. So, what do you think of Barcelona’s transfer plans? And how many players do you think Deco and Co.
