Big Ten announces major schedule change impacting Wisconsin volleyball

•Yahoo Sports

The Big Ten has officially announced a major change that will impact Wisconsin Badgers volleyball beginning in 2026. For the first time ever, the Big Ten announced that 2026 will feature a conference tournament. This 15-team tournament is a brand new addition to the schedule that is set to take place from November 20-25.

The Fishers Event Center in Fishers, IN, is set to host the inaugural tournament. Only the Top 15 teams in the conference are set to compete meaning three teams will be left out entirely. Mark it on the schedule for 2026 šŸ”œ Big Ten Volleyball Tournament šŸŸļø Fishers Event Center pic.

Should Wisconsin finish in the Top 4 like they did a year ago, they'd only have to win three games to become the first ever conference tournament champions.

Wisconsin finished 17-3 in Big Ten play a season ago, only behind 20-0 Nebraska. It should be noted now that this tournament is in place, each team will play each other once, for a total of 17 conference matches. To no surprise , the winner of the Big Ten tournament will receive an automatic bid in the NCAA tournament.
