Pittsburgh Steelers Broadcast Team Pulls Off a Wild Mock Draft in Round 3
The Steelers broadcast team pulled off an unexpected mock draft with Vega Ioane and Ted Hurst.
On Friday, Mike Prisuta, Matt Williamson, and Max Starks of the Pittsburgh Steelers broadcast team gathered to create their second mock draft. The results were anything but ordinary. Starting with a trade-up move, they sent the No.
21 overall pick in exchange for two more third-round picks: No. 76 and No. 85.
This move landed them the former Penn State guard, Vega Ioane, who was an elite prospect but not without concern. Moving on to the second round, the team debated multiple positions before settling on Georgia State's Ted Hurst as a wide receiver. The choice of Hurst over Alabama's Germie Bernard and Louisville's Chris Bell came as a surprise for many.
Finally, they made their single third-round pick at No. 99 with no room left in the cornerback and safety spots, so they turned to defense. Missouri's Chris McClellan was a solid selection here, though it still felt like too much of a gamble without more options.
