Sophomore Jill Ryan delivered a game-winning, walk-off homer as the Exeter High School softball team rallied past Bedford, 7-6.

EXETER - The Exeter High School softball team was in need of a win, and sophomore Jill Ryan delivered. With one out and Alexa Papakonstantis on first, Ryan, with two strikes, blasted a game-winning, walk-off two-run homer over the center field fence as Exeter rallied for a 7-6 Division I win over Bedford on Friday, April 16. "She got down two strikes and battled back and just got the right pitch. " Ryan struck out in her previous at-bat. "I think she was a little upset with herself, because she was the starting pitcher, and wanted to help her herself out," Morissette said.

"And, for her to come back and get that homer, she was excited. " Morissette thought Ryan got enough of the ball when it left her bat. "I felt like it had enough, but I wasn't sure at first," Morissette said.
