NEW DELHI: Shubman Gill led from the front with a superb half-century as Gujarat Titans beat Kolkata Knight Riders by five wickets in Ahmedabad on Friday. Gill played a brilliant knock of 86 off 50 balls, hitting eight fours and four sixes, and controlled the chase for most of the innings. His effort helped GT comfortably chase down 181 and also handed KKR their sixth straight loss of the season, keeping them at the bottom of the table.
KKR tried to fight back towards the end, but Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan kept their calm and finished the match with two balls to spare, sealing GT’s third win in a row.
