Latest Jordyn Tyson update could impact Commanders and others

NFL teams received a positive update on WR Jordyn Tyson ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, and it could shake up the top 10.

You could make the case that the wide receiver position is the deepest in next week's 2026 NFL Draft. And that is without a prospect like Ja'Marr Chase or Calvin Johnson. There's a good chance that at least six receivers will be chosen in the first round next week, which is good for a team like the Washington Commanders .

Washington's need for another receiver opposite Terry McLaurin dates back to 2019. The Commanders have tried multiple ways to get McLaurin some help. Washington's lack of depth at receiver was finally exposed in 2025, when McLaurin dealt with the first significant injury of his career, sidelining him for seven games.

The Commanders are on the clock at No. 7 overall next Thursday night. Washington is in a unique position because a terrific player or two will fall.

Will it be Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love or Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles? Will Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate be off the board before Washington's on the clock at No. 7?
