The Warriors' 2025-26 campaign has officially come to an end.

Despite scoring the opening points of the game, the Phoenix Suns rattled off the next 13 straight points to quickly take a double-digit lead over the Golden State Warriors in Friday's win-or-go-home play-in tournament contest for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. After the Suns landed the opening haymaker, the Warriors struggled to close the distance.

Golden State's offense fell flat in the first frame, scoring only 15 points in the first quarter on 6-of-20 from the field and 1-of-9 from long distance. While the Warriors opened cold, the Suns found success early from beyond the arc, drilling six 3-pointers in the first quarter on the way to an 18-point first-quarter lead. While the Warriors were able to shave away the Suns' early lead, Golden State struggled when it came time to land a haymaker of their own.

The Warriors were never able to cut the Suns' lead all the way down. Each time the Warriors made a run, Jalen Green and the Suns were able to answer. Green tallied a game-high 36 points on 12-of-20 shooting with eight made 3-pointers to help the Suns punch a ticket to the playoffs and end the Warriors' season on Friday night with a 111-96 win.

Steph Curry struggled on Friday night with just 17 points on 4-of-16 shooting from the field and 3-of-10 from deep. Heading into the fourth quarter, Curry only recorded seven points before adding 10 points in the final frame. Curry appeared to be hobbling at times in the game, struggling with a potential injury.
