GIRLS: CLAREMORE 10, MWC 0 Claremore buried MWC early. The Lady Zebras [5-4, 4-0 District 5A-3] scored 7 goals in the first half alone, turning the match into a rout long before halftime and finishing it off with 3 more in the second. Ella Berglund got things started with 32:15 remaining in the first half, finishing a breakaway from 20 yards out off an assist from Ava Rooney to make it 1-0.

Just minutes later, Berglund turned distributor, setting up Alivia Payne for a long-range strike from about 30 yards out to extend the lead to 2-0. The goals kept coming. Rooney made it 3-0 off an assist from Payne, then Payne added another unassisted goal with 25:21 left in the half to push the advantage to 4-0.
