🥍Game of the Night Last spring the Narragansett boys lacrosse team made the trip to Lincoln for the Division III semifinals and came away with a crazy comeback that sent them on their run to the title. Friday night, no comeback was necessary. Defense has been the Mariners calling card this season and that reputation didn’t change in the rematch with the Lions.

After a low-scoring first half, Narragansett got three goals in the second and the defense only allowed one in the second half in a 5-3 win over Lincoln. There were 17 goals in last spring’s Division III semifinal, where the Mariners scored five times in the fourth quarter to pull off the upset over the second-seeded Lions. This matchup went a little different.

Narragansett dominated possession throughout the first half but had little to show for it. Shots when high, wide and everywhere else but between the pipes. Lincoln was having more success, with goals by Eli Hughes and Casey Acciardo sandwiched a Gansett goal from Alex Bouard .
