Detroit Pistons to face Orlando Magic in first round of NBA playoffs
The Pistons will open the playoffs Sunday against the Orlando Magic at Little Caesars Arena.
Detroit — Cade Cunningham took a moment to re-watch team introductions during his first playoff experience at Little Caesars Arena. His moment occurred during Game 3 of the Detroit Pistons' first-round series against the New York Knicks. It brought back the chills he felt leading up to the game, especially the excitement that fans experienced during the Pistons' first home playoff game in six years.
Watching the team introductions again made Cunningham eager to start this year's postseason series. However, he had to wait until the NBA's Play-In Tournament concluded before the Eastern Conference bracket became official. On Friday night, Cunningham and the Pistons finally learned who their first-round playoff opponent would be.
As the No. 1 seed, the Pistons will face the No. 8-seeded Orlando Magic in the opening round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
The seven-game series will begin on Sunday, with the tip-off scheduled for 6:30 PM. "I'm just excited to get out there. I am excited to see the city and how our home games will look.
