LSU baseball returned to the confines of Alex Box Stadium as it welcomed a hot-hitting Texas A&M team into town. The Aggies were fresh off a series victory vs Texas, while LSU was swept by Ole Miss last weekend. It was more of the same from both squads as A&M took Game 1 by a 10-4 score.
Casan Evans got the start for LSU on the mound, and the Aggies remained hot against him. Evans night finished after five innings of work. He gave up six runs on seven hits, eight strikeouts, and three walks.
He gave up one run in the third, but it was the fifth and sixth innings that doomed him. The Aggies scored three runs in each inning to take a 7-2 lead. A&M held it from there.
